The Uncoloured Smooth Board 18mm × 1200mm × 2400mm is an extra heavy-duty smooth board designed for flooring support, raised floors, walling, partitions, ceilings and interior construction works. Its 18mm thickness provides excellent strength, rigidity and stability, while the plain uncoloured surface can be painted, sealed, laminated or finished depending on the project. Technical Specifications

How to Use for Flooring

1. Measure the Floor Area
Measure the length and width of the room or area where the board will be installed.

Formula:
Total floor area ÷ 2.88m² = number of boards required

Add 5–10% extra for cutting, wastage, corners, columns and door areas.

2. Prepare the Subfloor or Support Frame
Ensure the base is dry, level, clean and firm. For raised floor projects, make sure the timber or metal support frame is strong and properly spaced to carry the expected load.

3. Plan the Board Layout
Arrange the boards carefully before fixing. For stronger flooring support, avoid lining up all board joints in one straight line. Staggering the joints helps improve stability.

4. Cut the Boards to Size
Mark and cut the boards according to the room layout. Use suitable cutting tools for clean and straight edges.

5. Fix the Boards Firmly
Fix using suitable screws, nails or adhesive depending on the base and installation method. Make sure each board is firmly secured and does not move.

6. Leave Small Expansion Gaps
Leave a small gap around walls, columns and fixed edges to allow slight board movement.

7. Check Level and Joints
Check that the surface is flat and level. Sand any raised edges or uneven joints before installing the final floor finish.

8. Apply Sealer or Primer if Needed
For better durability, apply a suitable sealant or primer depending on the final floor finish to be installed.

9. Install Final Floor Finish
Once the board surface is firm, dry and level, install the final finish such as vinyl carpet, SPC flooring, laminate flooring, carpet tiles or another interior floor covering.

How to Use for Walling / Partitions / Ceiling

1. Prepare the Wall or Frame
Make sure the wall surface or support frame is strong, straight, dry and clean.

2. Mark and Cut
Measure and cut the board according to the required sizes.

3. Fix the Board
Install using screws, nails or adhesive depending on the surface and project.

4. Finish the Joints
Use joint filler, trims, mouldings or finishing strips for a clean finish.

5. Prime and Paint
Apply primer first, then paint or decorate according to the required design.

Do not install on wet, weak or dusty surfaces.

For flooring, make sure the support base is strong enough for the expected traffic and weight.

Use correct screw spacing to prevent movement or board lifting.
