Product Overview

Why professionals choose the AKT 351 for chemical anchoring work.

The Akfix AKT 351 is a heavy-duty, manually operated skeleton (cradle) frame gun engineered specifically for dispensing chemical anchor cartridges such as the Akfix C920 Epoxy Acrylate Chemical Anchor. Chemical anchors require steady, high-pressure extrusion so that resin and hardener mix uniformly through the static mixer nozzle — a standard silicone gun simply cannot generate that force. The AKT 351’s reinforced steel frame, high-leverage trigger mechanism, and rigid push rod deliver smooth, controlled dispensing shot after shot.

Whether you are fixing anchor bolts, threaded rods, rebar starter bars, railings, staircases, gates, facades, or cable trays into concrete, stone, or hollow brick, the AKT 351 is the applicator that gets the resin exactly where it needs to be — deep in the drilled hole, void-free, and fully mixed.

Key Features & Benefits

Built for daily site use, not occasional DIY.

Heavy-Duty Skeleton Frame

Rigid powder-coated steel cradle holds large chemical anchor cartridges firmly with no flex, so pressure goes into the resin — not into bending the frame.

High-Leverage Trigger

The long trigger stroke multiplies hand force, letting you extrude thick epoxy acrylate resin smoothly and without fatigue, even in cooler morning temperatures.

Even, Void-Free Dispensing

Consistent push-rod pressure means resin and hardener mix correctly through the static mixer nozzle — critical for the anchor reaching its rated pull-out strength.

Instant Pressure Release

Release the rear latch to stop resin flow immediately between holes — less waste, less mess, and more anchors per cartridge.

Fits Akfix Anchor Cartridges

Designed for Akfix coaxial chemical anchor cartridges (300–410 ml class), including the C920 Epoxy Acrylate shown with this gun.

Made in Türkiye

Manufactured by Akfix, a global construction chemicals brand — the same factory quality behind the C900/C920/C950 anchor range.

How to Use the Akfix AKT 351 Anchor Gun

Step-by-step chemical anchoring procedure for a full-strength fix.

Drill the Hole

Drill into the concrete or masonry to the diameter and depth specified on the chemical anchor cartridge for your rod size (e.g., an M12 rod typically needs a 14 mm hole).

Clean the Hole Thoroughly

Blow out dust, then brush, then blow again (minimum 2× brush + 2× blow). A dusty hole is the number-one cause of anchor failure — do not skip this step.

Load the Cartridge

Pull the AKT 351 push rod fully back using the release latch, seat the Akfix C920 cartridge into the skeleton frame, and screw the static mixer nozzle onto the cartridge tip.

Purge the First Strokes

Squeeze the trigger and discard the first 5–10 cm of resin until the extruded material shows a uniform, streak-free colour — this confirms resin and hardener are fully mixed.

Inject from the Bottom Up

Insert the nozzle to the bottom of the hole and fill to about two-thirds depth while slowly withdrawing the nozzle, keeping the tip submerged in resin to avoid air pockets.

Insert the Rod

Push the threaded rod or rebar in with a slow twisting motion until it reaches the bottom. Excess resin should emerge at the surface — that indicates a completely filled hole.

Respect the Curing Time

Do not disturb the rod during gel time and do not load the anchor until full cure (curing times depend on temperature — see the cartridge label). Then torque the nut to specification.

Release & Store

Press the release latch to stop resin flow. A partly used cartridge can be reused later by fitting a fresh mixer nozzle. Wipe the gun frame clean and store dry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the Akfix AKT 351 in Kenya.

Can I use a normal silicone gun for chemical anchor cartridges?

No. Chemical anchor resin is far thicker than silicone and needs the high extrusion force and rigid frame of a dedicated anchor gun like the AKT 351. A standard gun will flex, jam, or dispense unevenly — leading to poorly mixed resin and weak anchors.

Which cartridges fit the AKT 351?

It is designed for Akfix coaxial chemical anchor cartridges in the 300–410 ml class, including the C920 Epoxy Acrylate (styrene-free), C900 Polyester, and C950 Pure Epoxy anchors — all stocked at Shabbiri Hardware.

Can I reuse a half-finished cartridge?

Yes. Because the resin and hardener only mix inside the nozzle, simply release the gun’s pressure latch, leave the used nozzle on as a cap, and fit a fresh static mixer nozzle the next time you use it.

What can I anchor with this system?

Threaded rods, anchor bolts, rebar starter bars, balustrades and railings, staircases, gates, window elements, facades, sanitary fittings, pipe supports, and cable trays — into concrete, stone, solid brick, and hollow brick (using a mesh sleeve).
