Aspirator Blower 500W — Electric Air Blower & Vacuum for Dust Cleaning in Kenya

A compact 500-watt handheld aspirator blower that switches between high-velocity blowing and suction vacuuming. Moves 2.0 m³ of air per minute at 13,000 rpm — built for clearing sawdust, cement dust, metal filings, wood shavings and workshop debris that a broom or cloth simply cannot reach. Supplied with a flexible rubber nozzle hose and a removable dust collection bag.

What Is an Aspirator Blower?

An aspirator blower is a dual-function electric cleaning tool. Run in blow mode, an impeller driven by a 500 W universal motor forces a concentrated jet of air out of the front nozzle — ideal for driving dust out of crevices, cooling fins, control panels, engine bays and freshly drilled holes. Reverse the airflow into suction (aspirator) mode, fit the collection bag to the rear port, and the same impeller draws debris in and traps it in the bag instead of throwing it into the air.

Because it is handheld, corded and light, it sits between a compressor air gun and a full industrial vacuum: no tank to fill, no compressor to run, and no 3-phase supply required. For Kenyan workshops, carpentry shops, hardware stores, garages, electronics benches, salons and site finishing crews, it is usually the fastest way to get a surface dust-free before painting, sealing, gluing or handing over.

🌀

Dual Blow & Suction

Adaptive front and rear nozzle ports let one machine blow debris out or vacuum it up — no second tool needed.

500 W High-Speed Motor

Spins to 13,000 rpm for a constant, high-pressure air stream that shifts stubborn settled dust.

🔒

Trigger Lock-On Switch

Lock the trigger for continuous running so your hand does not fatigue during long clean-down jobs.

🎒

Removable Dust Bag

Collects the debris you vacuum instead of recirculating it. Unclip, empty, refit — takes seconds.

🪢

Flexible Nozzle Hose

High-density rubber extension pipe bends into tight corners, ducts, cabinets and machine housings.

🛡️

PC & Steel Build

Polycarbonate housing over a carbon-steel chassis — light in the hand but tolerant of site knocks.

How to Use the 500W Aspirator Blower

Follow these steps for safe, effective operation in either mode.

A. Before You Switch On

Inspect the tool and cable

Check the housing for cracks and the flex for cuts or exposed conductors. Never run a blower with a damaged cable.

Confirm your supply

The tool is rated 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz — correct for Kenyan mains. Plug into a properly earthed socket. If you use an extension reel, unwind it fully so it does not overheat.

Clear the work area

Remove loose papers, small components, screws and anything you do not want launched across the room. Warn anyone working nearby.

Fit your PPE

Safety goggles and a dust mask are essential — blowing lifts fine dust straight into the breathing zone. Ear protection is advisable in enclosed rooms.

B. Blowing Mode — Clearing Dust and Debris

Fit the nozzle to the front (outlet) port

Push the flexible rubber nozzle hose onto the front air outlet until it seats firmly. Leave the rear intake clear and unobstructed.

Hold the intake clear of your body and clothing

Keep loose sleeves, aprons, dust sheets and hair away from the rear intake grille while the motor runs.

Squeeze the trigger and work downwind

Start at the highest point and work downwards and outwards, driving debris toward a single collection point rather than chasing it around the room.

Engage the lock-on for long runs

Press the lock button while holding the trigger for continuous blowing. Squeeze and release the trigger again to unlock before setting the tool down.

Keep a safe standoff distance

Hold the nozzle 5–15 cm from the surface. Closer for packed dust in crevices; further back for light dust on delicate electronics so you do not dislodge components.

C. Suction (Aspirator) Mode — Vacuuming Debris

Switch the ports over

Remove the nozzle from the outlet and fit it to the intake side, then attach the dust collection bag to the opposite (discharge) port so collected debris is trapped in the bag.

Check the bag is properly seated

A loose bag lets fine dust escape at the collar. Make sure the mouth of the bag is fully over the port and secured before switching on.

Vacuum in slow passes

Move the nozzle steadily over the surface. Do not stall the nozzle flat against a surface for long periods — the motor relies on airflow for cooling.

Do not pick up the wrong material

Never vacuum water, wet slurry, hot ash, glowing embers, sharp glass shards, plaster slurry, cement paste, solvents, fuel or any flammable dust. This is a dry-debris tool only.

Empty the bag before it fills

Suction drops sharply once the bag is around two-thirds full. Switch off, unplug, unclip, empty and refit — outdoors or over a bin, wearing a mask.

D. After Use & Maintenance

Switch off, unplug, then let it cool

Release the lock-on, switch off and remove the plug before touching any nozzle or bag. Let the motor cool for a few minutes after heavy continuous use.

Clear the intake grille

Brush lint, shavings and dust off the intake vents every session. A blocked intake is the single most common cause of overheating and motor failure.

Shake out or wash the bag

Empty after every job. If the bag is washable, let it dry completely before refitting — a damp bag clogs and reduces suction.

Coil the cable loosely and store dry

Do not wrap the flex tightly around the body. Store the blower and its nozzle in a dry place, off the floor, away from cement dust and moisture.

Give the motor a rest cycle

For long clean-downs, run in cycles rather than continuously for very long stretches, so the motor windings stay within temperature.

⚠️ Safety Precautions

  • Always wear eye protection and a dust mask — flying grit causes most blower injuries.
  • Never point the nozzle at a person, an animal, or your own face, hands or eyes.
  • Do not use in the rain, in standing water, or with wet hands. This is an indoor/dry-use corded tool.
  • Do not use in an atmosphere containing flammable vapour, gas or explosive dust.
  • Do not blow toner, silica-heavy dust or hazardous powders into open workspaces — vacuum those instead.
  • Keep children and untrained persons away while the tool is running or plugged in.
  • Never carry or suspend the tool by its power cable, and never yank the cable to unplug it.
  • Do not insert fingers, rods or screwdrivers into either port while the tool is plugged in.
  • Have any electrical repair carried out by a qualified technician — do not open the housing yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the 500W aspirator blower available in Nairobi?

Yes. It is stocked at both Shabbiri Hardware branches on Magadi Road — Ongata Rongai (opposite Hashi Petrol Station) and Tuala (past Nazarene University). Call 0741 042484 or 0745 554008 to confirm stock before travelling.

Can it both blow and vacuum, or do I need two machines?

One machine does both. Fit the nozzle to the outlet port for blowing, or move it to the intake port and attach the dust bag to vacuum. Switching takes a few seconds by hand — no tools required.

Will it run on normal Kenyan power?

Yes. It is rated 220–240 V at 50/60 Hz, so it plugs straight into a standard Kenyan socket. No transformer or 3-phase supply is needed.

Is 500W strong enough for a workshop?

For dust, shavings, filings and light debris, yes — 2.0 m³/min at 13,000 rpm clears most workshop surfaces quickly. For heavy continuous extraction at a machine, pair it with a dedicated dust extraction system.

Can I use it to clean a computer or server?

Yes, and it is one of the most popular uses. Power the equipment down and unplug it first, hold the nozzle a little further back than you would on a workbench, and hold fans still so they are not spun beyond their rated speed.

Can it pick up water or wet cement?

No. It is a dry-debris tool only. Water, slurry, wet plaster, hot ash and flammable liquids will damage the motor and create a serious shock or fire hazard.

What comes in the box?

The blower unit, a high-density flexible rubber nozzle hose and a removable dust collection bag.

How heavy is it?

About 1.9 kg, so it is comfortable to hold single-handed for extended cleaning sessions.

Do you deliver outside Ongata Rongai?

Yes. We arrange delivery across Nairobi and countrywide through courier and matatu parcel services. Send your location on WhatsApp to 0741 042484 for a delivery quotation.

Do you supply in bulk to workshops and institutions?

Yes. We supply schools, colleges, garages, fundis, contractors and institutions. Contact us on info@shabbirihardware.co.ke for a formal quotation and trade pricing.
