How to Use the Deli DL-JM115-E1 Angle Grinder
- Read the manual and gear up. Wear safety goggles or a face shield, ear protection, gloves, a dust mask and closed shoes. Remove loose clothing and jewellery.
- Check the power supply. Make sure your socket supplies 220–240V. Inspect the cable and plug for damage before every use.
- Choose the right disc. Use a 115mm disc rated for at least 12,000 RPM: metal cutting disc for steel, diamond blade for tiles, stone and concrete, grinding disc for welds, flap disc for finishing, wire cup brush for rust.
- Fit the disc with the plug removed. Unplug the tool. Place the inner flange on the spindle, set the disc on it, then screw on the outer nut. Press the spindle lock and tighten firmly with the spanner.
- Set the guard and side handle. Rotate the wheel guard so it sits between you and the disc. Screw the side handle into the left or right side of the gear head.
- Secure the workpiece. Clamp the material on a stable bench or the ground. Mark the cutting line with chalk or a marker.
- Start and let it reach full speed. Hold the grinder with both hands, switch on away from the work and allow the disc to spin up for a few seconds.
- Cut or grind with light pressure. For cutting, keep the disc straight and guide it along the line – let the tool do the work. For grinding, hold the disc at 15–30° to the surface and move it back and forth evenly.
- Finish safely. Switch off, wait until the disc stops completely before setting the tool down, then unplug it.
- Clean and store. Blow dust out of the air vents, wipe the body and store the grinder in its box in a dry place.
