When is a 50% shade net the right choice?

Choose 50% for sun-loving crops such as tomatoes, capsicum, herbs and hardening-off beds, and for open shade over seedbeds, kitchen gardens or a verandah where you want brightness rather than deep shade. If you need cooler conditions or privacy, step up to a 70% or 80% net instead.
