The Oriv Shield 40mm padlock (Art No. 691) is a medium-duty brass padlock built for reliable daily security at homes, shops, construction sites and farms across Kenya. Its hardened steel shackle resists cutting and sawing, while the brass body stands up to rain and humidity without rusting. Each lock comes on a blister card with 4 computer keys and carries the KEBS import standardization mark.

How to Use

Check your keys. Confirm all 4 keys open the lock. Keep one in use and store the spares safely.

Open it. Insert the key fully and turn clockwise – the shackle springs up.

Check the fit. Pass the shackle through the hasp, chain or latch. A snug fit leaves less room for bolt cutters.

Lock it. Press the shackle down until it clicks, remove the key and give it a tug to confirm.

Keyhole down outdoors. On gates and sheds, hang the lock keyhole-down so rain and dust stay out.

Maintain it. Every 2–3 months, puff graphite or dry lock lubricant into the keyway. Avoid thick oil or grease.
