The Oriv Shield 50mm Solid Brass Padlock (Art No. 692) is a premium security padlock designed for everyday and heavy-duty protection. Its solid brass body with a brushed chrome-plated finish will not rust in rain, humidity or dust, while the hardened steel shackle (stamped “HARDENED”) stands up to cutting, sawing and prying.
Inside, a precision pin-tumbler cylinder works with computer (dimple) keys — harder to duplicate and pick than ordinary flat keys. The double locking mechanism locks both legs of the shackle into the body, so it cannot be forced out by twisting or shimming.

✔ Lubricate the keyway and shackle holes every 3–6 months with graphite powder or a dry PTFE lock spray.
✔ For outdoor gates, hang the lock with the keyhole facing down to keep rainwater out.
✔ Wipe off mud, cement and dust — especially on construction sites.
✔ Use a hasp or chain thick enough to fill the shackle opening to reduce pry space.
