📋Product Description
The HM-027 Heavy Gauge PVC Ceiling is a premium PVC ceiling board for Kenyan homes and businesses that want a natural wood look with modern PVC durability. Its surface carries a high-definition golden oak wood-grain print divided by evenly spaced recessed groove lines, giving a classic timber-strip ceiling once installed.
The heavy gauge construction – thicker outer skins and denser internal ribs than standard PVC – keeps the ceiling flat between brandering, resists denting during handling and holds its shape in the Nairobi heat.
Being rigid PVC, it is waterproof, termite-proof, rot-proof and mould-resistant, and never needs painting. A smart, long-lasting replacement for timber boards, soft board and gypsum in wet areas. Matching edge trims, cornices and fixing materials are available at our Ongata Rongai and Tuala branches on Magadi Road.

Tools & materials
- Tape measure, chalk line, spirit / laser level
- Fine-tooth saw or utility knife
- Hammer + 25–30 mm galvanised nails, or drill + self-tapping screws
- Treated timber brandering or metal furring channels
- PVC edge trims / cornice, goggles, gloves, ladder
Step by step
- Measure: ceiling area (m²) ÷ 1.49 = panels needed. Add 5–10% for cuts.
- Mark the level: snap a level chalk line around the walls at ceiling height.
- Fix brandering at 400–600 mm centres, square to the panel direction. Keep it flat.
- Fit edge trim on the chalk line; mitre corners at 45°.
- First panel: cut ~5 mm short of the room width, slide into the trim, fix through the tongue.
- Continue: push each groove onto the previous tongue until it clicks, then fix.
- Openings: cut holes for lights and fans before fixing that panel.
- Last panel: rip to width and slide into the trim.
- Finish: peel any protective film and wipe clean.

What does "heavy gauge" mean?

How many panels do I need?
