1Product Overview
The PVC Ceiling Heavy Gauge HM-028 is a hollow-core rigid PVC ceiling board made with thicker walls and stronger internal ribs than ordinary light-gauge panels. Its white face has evenly spaced decorative grooves for a neat strip-ceiling look, and the tongue-and-groove edges lock each panel tightly to the next.
PVC doesn't absorb moisture, so HM-028 won't swell, rot, peel or grow mould. That makes it a better choice than gypsum, soft board or timber in wet rooms and during Kenya's rainy seasons. It is light, quick to fix and cleans with a simple wipe.

4How to Install
- Measure. Room area (m²) ÷ 1.49 = panels needed. Add 5–10% for cutting.
- Plan direction. Run panels along the longest wall or away from the window so joints show less.
- Fix brandering. Timber battens or metal channels at 400–600 mm centres, levelled with a string line.
- Fit wall trims. Fix PVC L or U trims around the room at ceiling level.
- Cut panels. Wall-to-wall length minus about 5 mm each end. Use a fine-tooth saw or sharp knife.
- First panel. Slide into the trim, groove side to the wall, and fix through the tongue into every batten.
- Interlock. Push each new panel onto the previous tongue until tight, then fix. Fixings stay hidden.
- Openings. Cut holes for lights and fans before fixing that panel.
- Last panel. Trim to width, flex slightly and slide into the trim. Add a cornice if desired.
- Clean. Wipe with a damp cloth to remove dust and fingerprints.

6Where to Use & Care
- Store panels flat, indoors and out of direct sun before fitting.
- Clean with mild soapy water – no abrasive pads or strong solvents.
- Keep panels 150 mm from hot lamps; LED fittings are best.
- A damaged panel can be replaced on its own.

Is HM-028 waterproof?

Do I need to paint it?
No. The white factory finish needs no paint – just wipe it clean.
How many panels do I need?
