Product Overview
The HM-002 PVC ceiling panel is a light gauge, hollow-core polyvinyl chloride strip panel with a tongue-and-groove edge. The face is printed and laminated with a silver-grey diamond (rhombus) lattice pattern, finished with repeating crown motifs at the diamond joints and a fine embossed texture inside each diamond. A recessed V-groove along the joint gives the finished ceiling a neat striped look between panels.

Where to Use HM-002 Ceiling Panels
How to Install Light Gauge HM-002 PVC Ceiling Panels
- Measure the room. Measure length and width, calculate the area in m² and add 5–10% for cutting allowance. Our team can help you work out the number of panels and trims.
- Install the brandering. Fix timber battens (2" × 2" or 2" × 1") or galvanised steel furring channels across the room at 400–500 mm centres, running at right angles to the direction the panels will run. Make sure the frame is level.
- Fit the perimeter trim. Nail or screw the PVC L-angle / edge trim around all walls at ceiling height. This hides cut edges and holds the panel ends.
- Cut the panels to size. Measure wall to wall and cut each panel about 5 mm shorter using a fine-tooth saw or sharp cutter. Leave a small gap for expansion.
- Fix the first panel. Slide the first panel into the edge trim with the groove side facing the wall. Fix the tongue flange to every batten with small nails, staples or screws.
- Lock the next panels. Push the groove of the next panel firmly onto the tongue of the fixed panel until it seats fully, then fix through the flange. Keep the diamond and crown pattern aligned across panels.
- Cut for lights and fittings. Mark and cut openings for bulbs, downlights and fans before fixing the panel in place. Use a hole saw for round downlights.
- Fit the last panel. Trim the last panel along its length to fit, slide it into the edge trim and secure it. Add cornices if you want a decorative edge.
- Clean up. Peel off any protective film and wipe the ceiling with a damp cloth.
Installation Tips
- Store panels flat, indoors and away from direct sun before installation.
- Do not over-tighten screws – it can distort the light gauge face.
- Keep batten spacing at 500 mm or less to prevent sagging.
- Keep panels at least 150 mm away from hot bulbs; use LED fittings where possible.
- Ensure the roof is leak-free before fixing a new ceiling.
Care & Maintenance
- Wipe with a soft damp cloth and mild soapy water.
- Avoid abrasive pads, thinners or strong solvents.
- Do not hang heavy fittings directly on panels – fix them to the brandering.
- A damaged panel can be cut out and replaced without redoing the ceiling.
