Product Overview
The Light Gauge HM-006 PVC ceiling panel is a decorative interlocking PVC strip panel printed and laminated with a silver-grey 3D wave pattern. Overlapping curved bands with fine line detailing give the surface a metallic, ribbon-like effect that suits living rooms, offices, shops, salons, restaurants, verandas and bathrooms.
Being light gauge, the panel is thin and lightweight, which puts very little load on the ceiling frame, makes it quick to cut and handle, and keeps your ceiling project economical. Each panel joins to the next with a tongue-and-groove edge, giving a neat grooved line between strips and a continuous wave pattern across the ceiling.

How to Install HM-006 PVC Ceiling Panels
- Measure the room. Measure length and width, calculate the area in square metres and add about 5 – 10% for cutting and wastage. Our team can help you work out the number of panels and trims.
- Prepare the frame (brandering). Fix treated timber or steel channels across the ceiling joists at 400 – 600 mm spacing, running at right angles to the direction the panels will lie. Make sure the frame is level.
- Fix the edge trims. Nail or screw PVC L-angles or edge trims around the perimeter of the room. These hide the cut ends and hold the panel edges.
- Cut the panels to size. Measure each run and subtract about 5 mm for expansion. Cut with a fine-tooth saw or sharp utility knife, decorative side facing up.
- Install the first panel. Slide the first panel into the edge trim with the tongue facing outwards. Fix through the flange (the narrow fixing strip) into each batten with small nails, screws or staples.
- Interlock the next panels. Push the groove of each new panel firmly onto the tongue of the last one, align the wave pattern, and fix through the flange. The fixing is hidden by the next panel.
- Fit the last panel & cornice. Cut the final panel lengthwise to fit, slot it into the trim, then fit PVC cornice for a clean finish. Cut openings for lights with a hole saw before fixing.
- Clean the surface. Remove any protective film and wipe with a damp cloth. Your ceiling is ready – no painting needed.
Installation Tips
- Store panels flat and in the shade before installation.
- Allow small expansion gaps at the ends – do not force panels tight against walls.
- Keep the wave pattern running in the same direction on every panel.
- Keep halogen lamps and hot fittings away from the panel surface; LED lights are recommended.
- Do not over-tighten screws – this can crack light gauge panels.
