How to Install HM-007 PVC Ceiling Panels
- Measure the room. Measure the length and width of the ceiling. Divide the room width by the panel width to know how many panels you need, and add about 5–10% extra for cutting and wastage.
- Mark the ceiling height. Use a spirit level or laser level to mark a straight level line around all walls where the ceiling will sit.
- Fix the frame (brandering). Install timber battens or light gauge steel furring channels at 400 mm – 600 mm centres, running at right angles to the direction the panels will run. Keep the frame flat and level.
- Fit the wall trims. Fix PVC wall angle (L-trim) or cornice around the perimeter on your level line. This hides cut edges and holds the panel ends.
- Cut the panels to length. Measure each run, then cut with a fine-tooth hand saw, hacksaw or sharp utility knife. Allow about 5 mm gap at each end for expansion.
- Install the first panel. Slide the first panel into the wall trim with the groove side facing the wall. Fix it to every batten through the tongue using small nails, staples or pan-head screws.
- Lock in the next panels. Push the groove of the next panel firmly onto the tongue of the previous one until it clicks tight, then fix through its tongue. Repeat across the room.
- Cut around lights and fittings. Mark positions for downlights, bulbs and fans, then cut holes with a hole saw or knife before fixing the panel in place.
- Fit the last panel. Cut the final panel to width, slide it into the wall trim and push it into place. Use a jointer (H-trim) where two panel runs meet.
- Clean and finish. Remove any protective film, wipe the ceiling with a damp cloth, and check all joints are tight and straight.

- Store panels flat, indoors and out of direct sunlight before installation to prevent bending.
- Keep batten spacing close (400 mm is best for light gauge panels) so the ceiling stays flat and does not sag.
- Always leave a small expansion gap at panel ends — PVC moves slightly with temperature changes.
- Do not fix panels directly under iron sheets without a frame and air gap; roof heat can distort PVC.
- Keep panels away from hot bulbs, cookers and naked flames. Use LED lights in PVC ceilings.
- Clean with mild soap and water only — avoid thinners, solvents and abrasive scrubbers.
- Buy all panels for one room from the same batch for a consistent white shade.
