PVC Ceiling Heavy Gauge HM-029 is a hollow-core rigid PVC ceiling board with a realistic walnut / teak brown wood-grain print and light-toned V-grooves that create a classic plank-strip effect once installed. Being heavy gauge, it has thicker skins and stronger internal ribs than ordinary PVC panels, so it resists sagging, warping and denting – even over wide spans and in humid rooms.
A top choice for homeowners, contractors and developers across Nairobi, Ongata Rongai, Kitengela, Kiserian, Karen and Kajiado who want a modern wooden-look ceiling that is affordable, quick to fit and virtually maintenance-free.

How Many Panels Do I Need?
1 · Measure
Room length × width = ceiling area. e.g. 4 m × 3.5 m = 14 m².
2 · Divide
Divide by 1.49 m² per panel. 14 ÷ 1.49 ≈ 9.4 panels.
3 · Add Wastage
Add 5–10% for cuts. 9.4 + 10% ≈ 11 panels.
4 · Trims
Perimeter for edge trim / cornice: (4 + 3.5) × 2 = 15 m.
How to Install HM-029
1
Prepare the roof. Make sure the roof is watertight and trusses are sound and level. Fix leaks first.
2
Fix brandering. 50 × 25 mm treated timber or furring channels at 400–600 mm centres, at right angles to the panels. Level it well.
3
Fit perimeter trim. Nail or screw J/F edge trim or a starter cornice around the walls at ceiling height.
4
Measure & cut. Measure wall-to-wall, deduct ~5 mm each end. Cut face-up with a fine-tooth saw or score-and-snap.
5
First panel. Slide into the trim, groove facing the wall. Fix through the flange into every brandering.
6
Continue. Push each groove firmly over the previous tongue and fix through the flange – fixings stay hidden.
7
Cut openings. Mark and cut holes for lights and fans before fixing that panel.
8
Last panel. Rip to width, slide into the trim and lock into the previous tongue.
9
Finish. Fit cornices and corner profiles, then wipe the ceiling clean.

⚠️ Precautions
Keep away from cookers, jikos and other direct heat.
Use LED / low-heat bulbs; no halogen touching the panel.
Wear safety glasses when cutting; use a stable ladder.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does “heavy gauge” mean?
Thicker outer walls and stronger ribs than standard panels – it stays straight, resists denting and lasts longer.
Can HM-029 go in bathrooms and kitchens?
Yes. PVC is 100% waterproof and won’t swell or rot. Just keep it away from direct cooking heat.
How far apart should brandering be?
400–600 mm centres, at right angles to the panels. Closer spacing gives a stiffer ceiling.
Can I use it on walls?
Yes – it works well as interior wall cladding or a wood-look feature wall on timber battens.
Does the colour fade?
The print is lacquered and UV-stabilised, so it stays colour-fast in normal indoor use.
Do you install?
We are supply-only, but we can share contacts of experienced independent installers.
